Musings: My Nigeria is Awake

Nigeria

Is my dream

And I am awake

To live it out

Nigeria

Is my attraction

And I am perfumed

To retain it

Nigeria

Is my classroom

And I am free

To teach it truth

Nigeria

Is my body

And I am trained

To care for it

Nigeria

Is my work

And I am diligent

To make it work

Nigeria

Is my land

And I am equipped

To cultivate it

Nigeria

Is my love

And I am committed

To keep it warm

Nigeria

Is my night

And I am eager

To lighten it

Nigeria

Is my story

And I am ready

To tell it all

Nigeria

Is my space

And I am duty-bound

To declutter it

Nigeria

Is my star

And I am willing

To let it shine

Nigeria

Is my child

And I am home

To nurture it
